Membership in the Charlotte Chi Omega Alumnae Association is so much more than socials….but of course, we have plenty of those! Once they join, our members are treated to four events a year including Eleusinia, Christmas Dinner and Cookie Exchange and the annual Shrimp Boil. We also participate in several philanthropic events including the Walk for Wishes to benefit Make-A-Wish. In addition to the events, members have the opportunity network with other Sisters in the area to promote their businesses and/or charity groups.
Dues are now $30 through August 31, 2012. For those Alumnae who join after the start of the membership year, dues are prorated per quarter making up for missed member events. Portions of every member’s dues also go toward gifts to the Chi Omega Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation and for sponsorship of an owl at the Carolina Raptor Center.
The Executive Board and Board of Directors of the Charlotte XO Alumnae Association have also been able to make the first steps in making plans for a scholarship fund a reality! With the growth in membership over the last two years, there was a budget surplus that will be deposited to create the account that will eventually fund four scholarships for Chi Omega Collegians, one each at the four local chapters. Continued growth in our membership will only expedite us being able to start awarding those scholarships. Your dues will help in making that a reality.

Andi arrived at Carolina Raptor Center on December 16, 2003 from a veterinarian in the mountains of North Carolina. She was hit by a car and experienced trauma in both eyes. Due to the blindness in her right eye she cannot fly well enough to survive in the wild, so she now spends her days entertaining visitors at CRC.
