Welcome to the Charlotte Chi Omega Alumnae Association Web site! As you scroll through the pages, I hope you’ll be able to discover all the wonderful things we have going on in the name of our Fraternity. Founded in 1937, the Charlotte Alumnae Chapter is the oldest Alumnae Association in the area. The highlight of the year has definitely been our 75th Anniversary Celebration we held April 5 in conjunction with our Eleusinia. Sixty Sisters and special guest S.M. Kate Scattergood attended creating such an atmosphere of Sisterhood and love of Chi Omega! It was a truly amazing evening.

Also founding members of the Charlotte Alumnae Panhellenic in 1955, our group of Alumnae has been instrumental in fostering Greek awareness and providing assistance to the Greek community for nearly six decades. In those days, the Theta Gamma chapter at Queens University was the only collegiate chapter in the area. Since then, Chi Omega added to its list of active chapters to grow to include Delta Kappa, UNCC; Chi Lambda, Winthrop; and Theta Lambda, Wingate. I am proud to say that over the last two years, thanks to our members, we will be taking steps to create a scholarship fund to benefit one of these collegiate Sisters each year. As the fund grows, we will add awards until there are four-one to be given to a Sister at each chapter. Your annual membership dues will help us make that vision a reality!

The Charlotte Chi Omega Alumnae Association is about so much more than social events, although we do have plenty of those! We include book club, local subgroups, philanthropies, business and relocation networking, donations to Make-A-Wish and the Chi Omega Foundation, assistance to the local collegiate chapters…all the things to reinforce the six purposes as set forth by our Founders so long ago. I hope more of you will join us in this membership year.
